September 26 meeting

Scott Gee, Junior Turfgrass Science student, presented to the Aggie Turf Club on his summer 2017 internship with Winfield Solutions, in Minneapolis, MN. Scott was exposed to all aspects of the company, including R&D, Marketing, and Sales.  He also managed several product evaluation trials relating to liquid fertilizers and wetting agents during his time there.

Turf Club Kicks off new Semester

‘The Aggie Turf Club kicked off the fall semester September 13.  This semester, students will be presenting on summer internship presentations, so please come out and join us in learning about what students are doing outside the classroom.  Meetings will be held every other Tuesday from 11:30-1 in Heep 440, with the next meeting on Sept. 26. Sideline Pass Auction to benefit Turfgrass students

 TAMU Aggie Turf Club is holding a Facebook auction for a PAIR of sideline passes to an upcoming Texas A&M football game! The high bidder may choose to attend either: South Carolina on Sept. 30, Mississippi State on October 28 , Auburn on Nov. 4, or New Mexico on Nov. 11. The 3rd Annual ‘Aggie Turf Cup’

Soil and Crop Sciences Turfgrass Science students, faculty, and staff took part this week in the 3rd Annual ‘Aggie Turf Cup’ at Briarcrest Golf Club.  This 2-person scramble event is held each May to wrap up the spring semester.  Two teams tied for 1st place again this year at a score of 75.  Congrats to the winning teams of Calvin Wilson & Reagan Hejl and Kevin Hejl & Noah Koenig.
