Several members of the Texas A&M University Turfgrass Club came out March 30th for The Big Event, the largest one-day, student-run service project in the nation, joining tens of thousands of other Aggie students saying “Thank You” to the residents of Bryan and College Station.
The Turfgrass students and Dr. Ben Wherley, the club’s advisor, joined forces with Elder Aid, a local organization that helps build and renovate houses and apartments for low income elderly in the community. They spent the day painting, tiling and doing landscape work.
