Fall 2021 kicks off with a putting competition and presentations

Members of the Texas A&M Turfgrass Club began the semester with an 18-hole putting competition.

The 2021-22 Aggie Turfgrass Club kicked off the fall semester on September 21, with an 18-hole putting competition on the newly created putting course at the Scotts turfgrass lab in College Station. The course was designed and constructed by the students in the SCSC 427-Sports Field Construction course, using Lazer zoysiagrass.

Casey Harman took home the grand prize in the Aggie Turfgrass Club putting competition, shooting 3 over par.

Two students presented information about their summer internships at the October 12th meeting of the Turfgrass Club at Texas A&M. The students have opportunities to intern with golf courses and landscape businesses, as well as with professional sports teams.
